Pepe has more than 14 years of experience in government affairs projects in Spain. He has a successful track record of public affairs campaigns, including engagement in legislative changes in the fields of health – such as the Law on guarantees and rational use of medicines and health products -, as well as defence and tax policy .
He has led advocacy projects and market access strategies in the areas of neurology, oncology, infectious diseases and rare diseases. In 2020, he successfully led a project to obtain one of the first authorisations to grow Cannabis for medical purposes in Spain. Also during the first years of this decade, Pepe led a campaign to promote the regulation of Medical Cannabis access in Spain, achieving multiple legislative initiatives at national and regional level, and the creation of a subcommittee in Spanish Congress, including the participation of different stakeholders from various EU member states in the official hearings.
Pepe holds an MBA from IE Business School and a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from UCM, and is co-author of “The Good Lobbyist Handbook (Manual del Buen Lobista)”.
