New Federal Drug Commissioner: BvCW congratulates Burkhard Blienert (SPD)

Federal cabinet to appoint the expert at the suggestion of Federal Health Minister Lauterbach (SPD)

Berlin, 01/11/2022 – According to media reports, Burkhard Blienert (SPD) is to become the new Federal Government Commissioner for Drugs. The German Cannabis Business Association (BvCW) expressly welcomes his nomination and has already congratulated him on his nomination. “With Burkhard Blienert, the office goes to a recognized expert who has expertise in all areas of the cannabis industry and is therefore well positioned for the upcoming regulation of cannabis as a stimulant. We are very much looking forward to working with him,” says association president Dr. Stefan Meyer.

Burkhard Blienert took part in the BvCW’s panel discussion at the International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) in Berlin last August as an expert for the SPD.
